High Five For Friday!

This week has been crazy as usual!  I am so happy to say I am 1 week closer to graduation!!  I am literally counting down the days until I am done.  I have the WORST case of senioritis EVER.  Anyways we had a lot of exciting stuff going on this week, and here it is...

1.  We have a new foster this week, Barbie.  She is so tiny, about 14 lbs. and a little snorter.  She reminds me of a 'bug', pug and boston mix.  We are SO happy to say that the same family that adopted Kramer is going to be adopting Barbie aka Iris tomorrow.  They picked a new name for her already because she wasn't responding to Barbie at all.

2.  We got an accepted offer on a vacant lot!!  We are so excited to say that we are gonna be building our own custom home in the very near future!!  There will be a lot of updates about that on the way, but step one was knowing for sure we had a place to build.  We are so excited about the lot.  It's a whole acre!!  Much better than the 1/4 acre we are working with.  And it's in the country, no more city living for us.  It hasn't worked out to great for us in the 2 1/2 years we have been doing it.

3.  When we found out we got the accepted offer, we bundled up the girls and ourselves and set out to let them see where we were going to be moving.  We had them walk the parameter just so we could see how big it really was.  And then we had a toast with some wine!  It was so much fun watching all the girls running around!

4.  Marley lost one of her baby teeth!  It was so cute to see!  I've never actually seen a puppy tooth before.

5.  My mom asked me to go with her to Art in Bloom at the Milwaukee Art Museum.  We went last night and had a blast!  This is her interpretation of the little girl.  She said it was a boring one, but I thought it looked pretty good.  Her friend Alka won first prize.  It was cool that I got to meet some of her friends.  We even watched the Iron Man competition, which was so cool.  The designers were given a bunch of stuff and had 50 min to make a floral arrangement.  The guy that won ended up having to get 4 stitches cause he sliced his finger, but his arrangement was my favorite!

car accident

Unfortunately Marky Mark got in a car accident yesterday with my car.  Luckily, he was perfectly fine!  But my car is another story...  :(  We won't know until Mon or Tues just how bad it is.  Most people that saw the pictures think it's totaled which is probably the case, so we will have some big decisions coming up on what to do about that.  He actually slid under the bumper of a truck that was in front of him.  The truck made a quick stop and the car wouldn't stop fast enough.
It also got me thinking about how fortunate we are that nothing was wrong with my hubby.  I don't know what I would have done had something happened to him.  It's crazy how things like that can make you very appreciative of the things you do have.  I love my family and would be devastated if anything bad happened.  A car can be replaced.  Although I will definitely miss my Camry...

High Five For Friday!

School has been dragging me down for sure!  It was amazing having a week break, but now that I'm back there is a ton to do before the end of the semester.  The good thing is that both of my teachers went over just how much we have left, and it is about 2 or 3 weeks of real work and that's about it until finals!! Wish me luck on surviving for the next month of school!

 1. Pile on Oma!  Me and the girls went to visit Oma while she had Wyatt and Adalai for the night.  This was the first time Marley had been to her house and had fun exploring and finding all the cats.  Luna is my mom's favorite but Marley wasn't about to let her play favorites!  Ha!

2.  Went to look at a few houses and found these cute guys in the backyard of one!  I LOVE chickens!

3.  Pile on Adalai!!  Ha!  This time it was Marley and Stella.  Adalai loved having all the dogs sit on her lap, especially while riding in the car.  This was on the way to the dog run where the kids and dogs played like crazy.  I had a great time hanging out with the kids!

4.  The kids sure love Uncle Mark.  We had a great bonfire!  It was VERY cold out still (notice the snow behind Mark), but we were pretending it was actually spring weather.  We even had 'Smores.  Yum!!

5.  I think the truth is that her ears will be like this forever.  Pretty goofy but so cute!  Someone said they are "unique", but that made me think of someone who has a big nose that you would say that to.  I think they are adorable!  Am I wrong?!
